Sino-Japan relations public opinion survey has conducted annually by China Daily and the NPO Japan remarks since 2005.
Sun Shangwu, assistant editor in chief of China Daily, said, “China’s ordinary people’s favorability to Japan have been increasing in the past six years, form 11.6% in 2005 to 38.3% in 2010, but the rate of increase has gradually slowed down.” He analyzed that Chinese people to Japan favorability was decreased due to the Diaoyu Islands collision and the Fukushima nucleat crisis this year.
The two sides selected ordinary people and high-level knowledge people to investigate.
The factors that Japan had invaded China, that Japan doesn’t fact aggression to China, that Japanese government have tough stance on the issue of the Diaoyu Islands, that Japan government dealt badly with Fukushima nuclear crisis, are all the reasons for poor impression of Japan.
