Former Cuban President Fidel Castro Ruz has expressed concerns over an imminent nuclear war that could broke out if the United States and Israel attack Iran.
“…I do not harbor the slightest doubt that an attack by the United States and Israel on the Islamic Republic of Iran would inevitably turn into a global nuclear conflict,” Castro said in a recent message translated from the original version.
The former Cuban leader who recently turned 84 said “there would be collateral damage, as U.S. political and military leaders always affirm in order to justify the deaths of innocent people.”
He said “in a nuclear war, the collateral damage will be the human race itself,” adding that “all nuclear and conventional weapons, everything that is used to wage war, must cease to exist.”
Castro in the translated version titled, Message from the Commandante en Jefe against nuclear war said “the peoples have the duty to demand of political leaders their right to live. When the lives of their species, their people and their loved ones are in such danger, no one can afford the luxury of remaining indifferent nor of wasting one minute of time in demanding respect for that right; tomorrow will be too late.”
Pointing out that every government around the world is obliged to respect the right to life of any nation and all the peoples of the planet, Castro said “the use of nuclear weapons in a new war would imply the end of humanity.”
In the meantime, Castro’s words are pregnant with one main idea: that Cuba is not that axis of evil as some political pundits – many of whom are in the West think. His recent message could also imply that it is not only the United States that is ‘obsessed’ with a so-called fight against nuclear armament, but that Cuba, just like other nations including Venezuela, and Iran which had been either overtly or covertly tagged as “axis of evil” by American politicians and friends from the West is equally concerned with world peace and freedom.
This could explain why Castro said “every government around the world is obliged to respect the right to life of any nation and all the peoples of the planet.”

THE use of nuclear weapons in a new war would imply the end of humanity. That was predicted by scientist Albert Einstein, who was capable of measuring its destructive capacity of generating millions of degrees of heat which would volatilize everything over an extensive radius of action. The brilliant researcher was the driving force behind the development of this weapon before the genocidal Nazi regime had it at its disposal.
Every government around the world is obliged to respect the right to life of any nation and all the peoples of the planet.
Today, there is an imminent risk of war using that kind of weapon and I do not harbor the slightest doubt that an attack by the United States and Israel on the Islamic Republic of Iran would inevitably turn into a global nuclear conflict.
The peoples have the duty to demand of political leaders their right to live. When the lives of their species, their people and their loved ones are in such danger, no one can afford the luxury of remaining indifferent nor of wasting one minute of time in demanding respect for that right; tomorrow will be too late.
Albert Einstein himself is quoted as saying: “”I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.” We know what he wanted to say and he was absolutely right, except that they will be no one left to brandish the sticks and stones.

In a nuclear war, the collateral damage will be the human race itself.
