Yeaterday morning, it is learned that Hang Jiangping, the secretary of Party Committee in Harbin Railway Bureau, will serve as Ministry of Railway spokesman to take place of Wang Yongping who will go to Warsaw in Poland as a Chinese member of Railways Cooperation Organization. This is the first time to change spokesman in eight years for the Ministry of Railways.
For the suspension, Wang Yongping said, “I don’t want to connect with the media, and I just want to live a peaceful life.”
Wang Yongping’s departure gave rise to great concern. His improper words on 7-23 Wenzhou rear-end accident caused many internet users angry, but many netizens feel very sorry for his departure. During eight years, Wang has been friendly easy-going and don’t refuse a reporter’s question. He is personality and outspoken in many times, which is rare in China’s spokesmen.
Three spokesmen of individuality, Wang Xuming who is previous spokesman of the Ministry of Education and Cao Qingyao who is previous spokesman of State Forestry Administration, have been left the post, following Wang Yongping’s departure.
The public more worried that the spokesman for Wang Yongping’s successor and other spokesmen are more cautious and less words to the media, with spokesman of individuality leaving.
