(Reuters) – Chinese miners and Japanese utilities have largely agreed on a long-term thermal coal price for the fiscal year starting in April, trading sources familiar with the situation said on Tuesday.
The price for thermal coal with calorific value of 5,800 kcal/kg (NAR) is expected around $145 a tonne, free on board (FOB), up from last year’s $115.50 a tonne, one source said, but added that it had yet to be finalised. (Reporting by Osamu Tsukimori; Editing by Edwina Gibbs)
