First there was Paul the octopus; now there is Wolf the mouse. They do the same job – predicting results of soccer matches.
Even though Paul died peacefully in his sleep after the 2010 World Cup, Wolf has just started his oracle career, already with one correct prediction.
On Tuesday, Wolf, a genuine mouse in a Ukrainian newspaper Hotsport newsroom, picked Georgia again as the winning team in the Euro 2012 Group F qualifier with hosts Israel.
Last Saturday, the mouse predicted hosts Georgia as the winner of their Tbilisi qualifier with Croatia. And Georgia beat Croatia 1-0.
Georgia play Israel in Tel Aviv on Tuesday, with Georgia trailing with nine points behind Greece’s 11 points and Croatia’s 10 points.
Georgia held visitors Israel to a scoreless draw in their previous encounter in Tbilisi in the home-and-away group qualifying tournament which also includes Latvia and Malta.
