The Chinese Academy of Social Sciences recently released the “2011 Blue Book on Public Services.” It shows that culture and sports have the highest public satisfaction while social security and employment have the lowest.
According to the public services satisfaction investigation in 38 major cities across the country, the uneven levels of satisfaction show the public services have obvious weak links.
Based on nine evaluating indicators of public services, the public awarded 75.89 points in its evaluation of culture and sports and 40.94 points to the social security and employment. The 35-point difference can sufficiently show that culture and sports have better met social needs since the start of the reform and opening-up policy, and the social security and employment need to be strengthened as the weak link.
The report said our government should adjust the development direction and continuously improve the public services.
