The Houston Rockets will wrap up their regular season later this week…and with the end of the year, begin the questions around Yao Ming’s future. The Chinese superstar will be an unrestricted free agent this summer as his contract with the Rockets will come to an end.
However, Yao will have to prove his health is worth the multi-million dollar risk any team will be taking. The 7’6 center has only played 5 games combined over the last two seasons as he has battled foot and ankle injuries.
The big man, is hoping to come back healthy next year…and if possible, remain with the only NBA team he has ever known.
Yao Ming, Houston Rockets, said, “If I can’t change it, I will try my best to adapt to it. I will control what I can. My plan is to recover from my injury first, and then look at where things are after my recovery. The Houston Rockets are the only team that I have played for. I have gotten to know very well, not only the Rockets, but also the fans of Houston after so many years.”
