Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban launched a scathing attack on the European Union’s handling of the Ukraine conflict, declaring that the bloc’s strategy is “a losing one” and that “hundreds of thousands of people have died” due to its ineffective policies.
Speaking at the European Parliament, Orban criticized the EU’s sanctions on Russia as “ineffective” and called for a ceasefire and a new approach to resolve the conflict.
He also accused EU leaders of hypocrisy, pointing out that West
ern countries have bought billions of dollars’ worth of Russian oil since the start of the war.
